Workshops

Our workshops and trainings are grounded in our relationship-based approach and evidence-based effective practices of Adult Learning. Our training offerings are different from many other SEL and Advisory programs because we have an intimate understanding of the cultural context of international schools and we never deliver within a cultural void.  Our professional development is research-based, interactive, professionally relevant and complemented with supplemental resources to encourage ongoing learning and development. 

Below are some of our current offerings. These are synchronous sessions, offered in-person or online:

Student/Teacher Developmental Relationships

Summary: Faculty will be guided through strategies and approaches that they can replicate in their classrooms, residential halls, and in the larger school community. At the end of the training, faculty will be given resources and recommended reading to further support their work. 

  • Session One: Healthy teacher student developmental relationships

  • Session Two: Creating a safe environment and strengthening healthy boundaries 

  • Session Three: Connecting across cultures and Cultural Humility


Staff Resilience and Burnout Prevention

Summary: Staff are guided through research-based practices to strengthen their resilience and that of the larger school community.

  • Session One: Defining and building resilience

  • Session Two: Preventing burnout

  • Session Three: Care and compassion for our community


Team Wellbeing During Times of Uncertainty

Summary: Ideal for teams going through transitions or particularly difficult times. 

  • Session One: Building Resilience: Reflecting, Pausing, and Looking Ahead

  • Session Two: Self-compassion

  • Session Three: Gratitude, and Connection


Social and Emotional Change Management: Supporting staff and teams during times of transition and change

Summary: One to three part series supporting teams adjusting to staff departures and arrivals and other major disruptions


Start the Year Off Strong in SEL

Summary: This training is for leadership teams preparing for the start of the school year. 

  • Session One: Alignment of team’s vision and objectives for a strong start to the year and what experiences students and teachers will need

  • Session Two: Professional development on effective internal communication

  • Session Three: Professional development on building our resilience and that of our colleagues


Teambuilding and Relationship-Based Leadership

Summary: Support for leadership, grade or department leads to strengthen their collegial relationships and practice more effective ways to work with each other collectively.

  • Session One: Relationship building with colleagues

  • Session Two: Goal-setting and learning

  • Session Three: Feedback delivery 


Leading Mentoring and Advisory Initiatives

Summary: This training is for Advisory and Mentoring Committee or other leadership groups responsible for the successful delivery of mentoring or advisory programs

  • Session One:  Key components of successful advisory programs and best practices in supporting mentors 

  • Session Two: Effective communication with stakeholders during the creation stages

  • Session Three: Clarifying roles and responsibilities
